Training communicators in gender-responsive storytelling for the media

In 2023 and 2024, the CGIAR GENDER Impact Platform and Econnect Communication trained 45 science communicators on how to tell mainstream media stories about agricultural solutions that work for women. You can read their resulting stories below.

We conducted the training online for the participants (with a face-to-face component for our second cohort), who hailed from 15 countries: Kenya, Nigeria, India, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Mexico, Tanzania, Pakistan, Indonesia, Zambia, Philippines, Nepal, Bangladesh, Egypt and Uganda.
