Enviro ’06 conference
Enviro is an impressive biennial environmental management conference attracting over 4000 participants from 17 countries.
In 2006 we were contracted for the second time (since 2002) to handle media liaison for the 24 concurrent sessions over three days in Melbourne—it was huge!
Despite the news being dominated that same week by the rescue of the Beaconsfield miners and federal budget announcements, we gained broad coverage of the many interesting sessions and speakers at the event.
Highlights
- major TV news, radio and newspaper journalists attended most of the media conferences that we organised
- articles on first three pages of The Herald Sun and The Age and many radio interviews
- a personal highlight for some of us was dancing with Leo Sayer at the gala dinner (sorry, the photos are copyrighted!!)
